An alert has been issued after contact tracers linked a lab-confirmed measles case to public settings in Calgary.

Potential exposures while the individual was infectious took place between Wednesday, Dec. 11 and Sunday, Dec. 15 in locations that included a flight from Seattle to Calgary International Airport, the Real Canadian Superstore (Westwinds Drive N.E.) and the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Anyone who was exposed who was born in or after 1970 and has less than two documented doses of measles-containing vaccine is considered to be at risk for developing measles. Measles is highly communicable in indoor spaces. More information.
