How we help: Facilitating no-cost mental health care access

Dec 16, 2024

Our Mental Health Program was created to provide no-cost, comprehensive support to your patients.

Since its launch, the program has expanded to offer a variety of support options to meet your patients’ needs.

Once referred to its centralized mental health referral service:

  1. Your patient will receive a call from our appointment coordinator to book a consultation call with a Primary Care Registered Psychologist (PCRP).
  2. A PCRP will call your patient to discuss their needs and desires for care; together, they will determine what resource would be the best fit for them.
  3. The PCRP will provide the patient with resources to help them self-manage their mental health and refer them to the appropriate next step (if applicable).

This approach ensures all referred patients can speak with a PCRP, receive self-management resources, and access additional services as needed.

We maintain strong relationships with community partners that can provide specialized care to your patients. Following their consultation call, the consulting PCRP may refer your patient to one of these resources if required.

Additional information about our Mental Health Program, including referral criteria, is available on the program’s web page.
