The value of health information professionals

Our Health Information Coordinators (HICs) are integral members of our PMH team, supporting members remotely using EMR systems and digital health platforms.

All our PCN’s HICs:

• Have completed their Health Information Management Diploma
• Are certified with the Canadian Health Information Management Association

This training and their work support members by:

• Using panel data and their knowledge of Alberta Prevention and Screening (AsaP) guidelines to recommend and facilitate screening projects
• Helping ensure patients receive necessary screenings at the appropriate times — catching chronic and dangerous conditions early
