The Cardiovascular Health & Stroke SCN and the U of C CME&PD have co-developed a new self-paced, accredited course of online modules to enhance your knowledge of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk screening and dyslipidemia treatment.
Cardiovascular Disease Risk Screening and Dyslipidemia Treatment for Primary Prevention of Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease will interest physicians who want to learn more about the current dyslipidemia guidelines.
After completing the course, you will be able to:
- Apply the Canadian Cardiovascular Society 2021 dyslipidemia guidelines for treatment decisions
- Understand appropriate CVD risk screening procedures
- Explain how the lab-based CVD screening tool fits with other provincial reporting and IT processes and procedures (e.g., ASaP, workflow, Netcare, EMRs, CII/PAR, MyHealthRecords)
- Describe the CVD need-opportunity gap in Alberta
