Community partner spotlight: Seniors phone-based program

Edmonton Southside PCN’s Seniors’ Centre Without Walls (SCWW) offers varied programming over the phone or Zoom to break through the barriers of loneliness and isolation for older adults.

Free of charge, the phone- or Zoom-based (audio only) program puts out a new calendar and program guide every three months that offers:

• Recreational activities
• Skill-building lessons
• Health and well-being topics
• Friendly conversation

You can share the link to the web page with patients or download and share the program guide. You can also watch the 2023 presentation by SCWW to our team members.

Eligibility:

• Anyone in Alberta aged 55 and up who finds it difficult to leave their home and participate in social activities.

Access:

• No referral is needed to register by calling 780.395.2626.
• The program is then provided over a toll-free phone number or Zoom.
• Edmonton Southside PCN will also mail the calendar and guide to participants.
